Marcelo and Mirabai have
performed around the world with different partners and will be debuting their new partnership here in Seattle.it will be Marcelo's
first time to the North West. We are ecxited to host another great dancer from Buenos Aires. Mirabai is a well-known Seattle
favorite and stared in the 2009 Tango Cabaret. Their numbers will explore all the passion, playfulness, and richness
of Argentine tango. Pampa Cortes is a great dancer and choreographer of international fame "whose experience
puts him in the same class as the great maestros of Argentine dance…". He hails from the Argentine province of
Santiago del Estero. At age 15, he embarked on a professional career that has spanned five decades and on which he draws to
create dance magic all over the world.
Momo Smitt is a rapper from Portland, Oregon, who loves Argentine tango. He describes his music as socially
conscious hip hop based in recovery, personal growth, politics, equality, and the environment. He is a truly unique performer
whose music will surprise and inspire the audience. Michelle Badion's cabaret choreography, from sensuous to silly, has entertained audiences
since 1996. This year's cast includes Michelle Badion, Wladimir Pino, Maureen Munoz, Alison Cockrill, Pablo Tapia, Erica Atnip,
Vivian Konstantakos, Brian Halbert, General Hambrick and George Rajeshand, among others.
Each number in the
show expresses tango in a different way, from the most traditional to the most modern, exploring tango's passion, glamour,
fantasy, romance, drama, and humor. This cabaret will once again mesmerize the audience with the intricacies, power, and beauty
of Argentine tango.
Historic Century Ballroom offers a delicious menu for dining before the show, a full bar, and great atmosphere.
After the show both nights the evening continues with Argentine tango social dancing. On Saturday, the show is followed
